Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical histories accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Document all patient care activities, charting, and changes in condition in accordance with hospital standards.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State required.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School (BSN preferred, ADN accepted).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
