Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop detailed, individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and promptly report any significant changes in condition to the clinical team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Provide compassionate education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Uphold strict infection control and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or Diploma).
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association preferred).
- ACLS certification preferred for those in critical care units.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
