Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, documenting changes and reporting significant findings to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care at home.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Florida Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for certain units.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and compassion in patient interactions.
