Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in high-acuity emergency settings
- Assess patient conditions using advanced triage protocols
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document clinical observations accurately in Epic EHR system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Provide patient/family education on treatment plans
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (mandatory)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years ER experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with trauma/injury protocols
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in fast-paced environment
