Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment and intervention for trauma patients in Level I trauma center
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and prevention strategies
- Maintain strict adherence to JCAHO and OSHA safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor new nursing staff through clinical rotations
Qualifications
- Active PA RN license with BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience (preferred)
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (mandatory)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC)
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
