Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in high-acuity emergency settings
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams and patient handoffs
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide trauma-informed care to diverse patient populations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Precept new nurses and clinical students
Qualifications
- Active TN RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years ER experience considered
- TNCC or ENPC certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Commitment to cultural humility and patient advocacy
