Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize emergency patients using rapid triage protocols
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care in EMR systems with 100% accuracy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during trauma activations
- Provide family education and emotional support during critical situations
- Maintain infection control and safety compliance standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license (required)
- BLS/ACLS certifications (current)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience preferred
- BSN degree or enrollment in BSN program
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
