Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment and intervention for trauma patients in high-pressure emergency situations
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must maintain)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
