Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions in accordance with nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions closely, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, documenting all procedures and patient responses in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and seamless care transitions.
- Maintain a sterile environment and strictly adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Assist with triage and emergency response during high-volume shifts to ensure patient safety is maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN License issued by the State of California.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred for specific units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
