Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues, needs, and physical and emotional conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and safety regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, documenting changes in condition immediately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred (New graduates welcomed with mentorship).
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume patient loads.
