Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Respond to emergency situations with critical thinking and decisive action
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or compact license with quick endorsement process)
- BSN degree or equivalent experience (ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience encouraged)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience in hospital setting
- Strong clinical skills with ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
