Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and clinical support in accordance with facility protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient health and administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient care activities, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by following safety standards and infection control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in code situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana or Florida (compact license accepted).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to float to other units or facilities based on staffing needs.
