Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments, monitor vital signs, and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely medical records, documenting patient progress and any changes in condition.
- Emergency Response: Remain calm and act swiftly in emergency situations, initiating life-saving interventions as required.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge instructions, and preventive health measures.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to all hospital hygiene and safety policies to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Diploma holders considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
