Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and documenting vital signs accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond immediately to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required (PALS may be required based on unit).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients as necessary, adhering to body mechanics safety standards.
