Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-management strategies
- Adhere to evidence-based practices and regulatory compliance standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
- Respond effectively to emergency situations using advanced life support protocols
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license in good standing
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with 2+ years experience)
- Minimum 2 years acute care or specialty nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
