Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and oncology
- Administer medications and treatments with precision using advanced EHR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Lead patient/family education sessions on disease management and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to professional development programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred for advanced roles)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience with ICU/ER specialization
- BLS and ACLS certifications with willingness to obtain additional certifications
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and telehealth technologies
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care protocols and emergency response
- Exceptional communication skills with multilingual capabilities preferred
