Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and patient safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Document electronic health records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain emergency response skills and crisis intervention capabilities
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (TX RN)
- BSN degree required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (ER, ICU, or Med-Surg)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
