Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments following strict protocols and physician orders to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly escalating any changes to the attending physician or charge nurse.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and social workers to provide holistic patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies with calm, decisive, and compassionate action.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply for our residency program.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient and inter-professional interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EMR).
