Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and progress.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and alarms, initiating emergency protocols when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
