Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Missouri.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred for Med/Surg or Critical Care roles.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
