Responsibilities
- Assess & Care Plan: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vitals and clinical status, responding immediately to changes or emergencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) and patient logs.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, post-discharge care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Emergency Response: Participate in hospital-wide emergency response initiatives and code blue protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and assessment skills under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Adaptability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
