Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to any changes in status.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred based on specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
