Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and surgical services
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Mentor new nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with advanced life support protocols
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and Indiana Board of Nursing regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (new graduates welcome)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and point-of-care documentation
- Demonstrated critical thinking in high-acuity environments
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
