Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans to meet patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to established protocols and legal standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinate care transitions effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation in strict accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the unit.
- Adhere to hospital safety and infection control policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
