Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and promptly report any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, medications administered, and care provided.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families throughout their hospital stay.
- Adhere to all hospital safety policies, infection control procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
