Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in 20-bed ICU unit specializing in post-cardiac surgery recovery
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret ECG data
- Collaborate with cardiologists and surgeons on treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using Epic EMR
- Provide patient/family education on cardiac conditions and recovery
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with vent management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
