Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care monitoring and interventions for post-surgical and trauma patients
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR systems
- Mentor new nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with calm, decisive action
Qualifications
- Active California RN license required (BRN #)
- BSN degree strongly preferred; ADN with 2+ years ICU experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 3 years critical care nursing experience in acute care setting
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and ventilator management
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
