Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients across diverse age groups
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions per physician protocols
- Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data, responding promptly to changes
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with physicians, therapists, and social workers
- Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate documentation and care coordination
- Mentor junior staff through our structured preceptorship program
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based committees
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in acute care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in high-acuity environments
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
