Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU unit utilizing evidence-based practices
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and care delivery in electronic health records
- Provide education to patients and families on disease management
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years ICU experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; CEN/CCRN preferred
- Minimum 2 years critical care nursing experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
