Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ICU setting including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient/family education
- Perform rapid response interventions for deteriorating patients
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EPIC) with real-time updates
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
- Mentor nursing students and new staff through our residency program
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (current and in good standing)
- BSN degree from accredited program (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in EPIC EMR system
- Demonstrated critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
