Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide advanced nursing care for critically ill patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient data accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with precise clinical interventions
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (required)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years ICU experience considered
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1-2 years critical care nursing experience
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
