Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and step-down settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data, responding promptly to changes
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans and communicate effectively with care teams
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in Epic systems
- Provide patient and family education on complex medical conditions
- Mentor new nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota RN license with no restrictions
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certifications with current expiration dates
- Minimum 2 years ICU/Step-Down experience
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and critical care monitoring equipment
- Strong assessment skills for unstable patient populations
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in fast-paced environments
