Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for post-operative and critically ill patients requiring intermediate monitoring
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and manage IV therapies with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding rapidly to changes in patient status
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning and home care protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and code response teams
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years ICU experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ICU or stepdown experience preferred
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic EMR and ventilator management
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
