Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care in accordance with established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately with proper documentation
- Assess patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare teams for care planning
- Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations with swift interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA
- Provide patient education and support to promote recovery and wellness
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact license with quick endorsement)
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years of acute care experience considered
- BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in hospital setting
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
