Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care settings including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care plans and medication management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control protocols
- Adhere to facility policies and state nursing board regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact license)
- BSN or Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (new graduates with externships considered)
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
