Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care settings including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition
- Accurately document patient records using EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (new graduates welcome with strong clinical skills)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- EMR proficiency with willingness to learn new systems
