Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in medical/surgical units with precision and empathy
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to unit performance metrics
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license (required)
- ACLS/BLS certification (current)
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- Strong clinical skills with proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Positive attitude and resilience in high-pressure situations
