Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any significant changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies accurately and in compliance with legal and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Respond to medical emergencies with composure and execute appropriate nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner experience a plus).
