Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with mobility using transfer equipment.
- Communicate patient status changes to the charge nurse and healthcare team.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient room environment.
- Document care provided accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid North Carolina CNA License required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and dignity.
