Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in high-acuity units including ICU and Cardiac Step-Down
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results to identify patient changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ICU/Telemetry preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
