Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in strict accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and clinical status, intervening immediately when abnormalities are detected.
- Document patient care services, including medical history, symptoms, reactions, and treatments in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Willingness to travel or relocate for contract opportunities in Virginia and other states.
