Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and medical status to ensure optimal recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Document patient history, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
