Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient history, care provided, and treatment outcomes in electronic health records accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by the role.
