Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards and physician orders.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Monitor vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
