Responsibilities
- Compassionate Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations, recording medical history, and observing symptoms.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy at all times.
- Collaborative Practice: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, patient charts, and incident reports.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing critical patients.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred (New grads with strong clinical rotations considered).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Technology: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
