Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and mental health status, identifying needs, and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs, response to treatment, and recovery progress; document all findings accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are considered.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
