Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by collecting, organizing, and interpreting data and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments and outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of New York.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records and hospital information systems.
