Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to established medical protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient histories, treatments, and progress accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and their families regarding care plans.
- Respond immediately and efficiently to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing nursing education.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated compassion, integrity, and a strong commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
