Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs and physician orders.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records (EHR) and patient logs.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations following established ACLS/BLS protocols.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and staff of varying backgrounds.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
