Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the unit.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred (Med-Surg or ICU background highly desired).
- CPR/BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to flexible shift schedules.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR).
